SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- An Indiana jewelry dealer won't be charged with a felony after bringing his gun to the Empire State Building.
Instead Ryan Jerome faces a misdemeanor charge. The former Marine said he misunderstood the law.
In New York it's  illegal to have a loaded gun outside of your home or business. Even if the weapon is licensed in another state.
Jerome has to complete 10 days of community service and pay a $1,000 fine.
