NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The first snow accumulation on the athletic fields meant that grounds crews had to do some additional prep work at Notre Dame Stadium on Wednesday.
The Notre Dame Athletic Field Crew cleared eight inches of snow off of the football field using bobcats with buckets attached to them in preparation for the game on Saturday.
While it was an arduous task, the crew was well prepared for the work.
Chip Mitenberger, one of the workers, said, “If we needed to bring in more people, our landscape brothers would definitely come and help us out. So we definitely have enough staff here to help us. Whatever the situation is we’ll be able to get it ready for the game.”
The team cleared snow off of the soccer fields and the band’s practice field as well.
