ST JOSEPH, Ind. -- The new plant-based food program, "Universal Meals", came to the University of Notre Dame, offering plant-based food to universities and colleges as well as schools and hospitals at no cost for them.
Culinary specialist for the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, Dustin Harder said: "Universal meals allows everyone a spot at the table. So, we wanted to really highlight it for institutions so they can create food for people of different religious backgrounds, cultural backgrounds, and also dietary sensitivities so everyone can eat."
The goal with the program is making sure everyone can eat, offering over 125 recipes, which you can find the list on the universal meal's website.
