VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Van Buren County Sheriff's department reported on Thursday, June 12, deputies were dispatched to a two-vehicle crash on M-40 Highway near 64th Avenue in Antwerp Township.

When the deputies arrived, a 64-year-old female driver from Lawton of one of the vehicles was found unresponsive.

The female driver was taken from one of the vehicles and life saving measures were attempted. She succumbed to her injuries on the scene.

A juvenile passenger in the same vehicle as the 64-year-old female driver was transported to Bronson Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver in the second vehicle was also transported to Bronson Hospital for non-life threatening injures.

The investigation is ongoing.
