Two vehicle crash in Cass County leaves one injured

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- At approximately 6:24 p.m. on Oct. 13, the Cass County Sheriff's Office was called to investigate a crash at the intersection of Marcellus Highway and Glenwood Road in Dowagiac.

The investigation showed that a 22-year-old South Bend resident, Peter Mckenna, was traveling southbound on Glenwood Road when he proceeded to run the stop sign at the intersection of Glenwood Road and Marcellus Highway.

A second vehicle, driven by 29-year-old Eau Claire resident Hector Manzano-Canales, was driving westbound on Marcellus Highway when he was struck by Mckenna's vehicle.

Manzano-Canales was transported to Lakeland Saint Joseph Hospital for his injuries sustained in the crash.

Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in this crash.
