BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich.—Two people were arrested on November 13 in connection with the investigation into the arson incident at the Walmart store on 11th Street on October 31.
Police arrested Paula Marie Kryski and Stephen Edward Taghon in St. Joseph County, Indiana.
Both are being held in the St. Joseph County Jail awaiting extradition to Berrien County.
Taghon, 34, of South Bend, is facing charges of arson, larceny in a building and retail fraud.
Kryski, 36, of South Bend, is facing charges of conspiracy to commit arson and retail fraud.
Police responded to the Walmart on October 31 around 1:45 a.m. to find that individuals had set fire to merchandise in the apparel department. No injuries were reported.
