ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - - The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on C.R. 40 just east of C.R. 7 on Tuesday night around 9:32 p.m.

The report states a 2018 Hyundai, driven by 30-year-old Estaban Matinez of Nappanee, was traveling west on C.R. 40.

Deputies say a 2013 Ford Focus, driven by a 37-year-old Mishawaka man, was traveling east on C.R. 40 when Martinez went left of center and continued southwest bound on the east bound lane of C.R. 40. 

The report states that's when Martinez collided with the Ford causing extensive front-end damage to both vehicles.

Martinez as well as the fords passenger were transported to the local hospital for minor injuries while the driver of the ford later went on his own for minor leg pain. 

The driver of the ford was cited for driving with a suspended license.
