Three vehicle crash in Elkhart leaves two injured

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Sheriff's Office responded to a three-vehicle crash on S.R 120 and C.R 17 at approximately 5:02 p.m.  An eastbound vehicle failed to stop for traffic and struck a second vehicle from behind.

The second vehicle was pushed into a third vehicle that was also stopped at the intersection. The first vehicle sustained major front-end damage The second vehicle had both front- and rear-end damage, while the third vehicle was damaged at the rear.

The driver of the first vehicle was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital with rib and knee injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for complaints of neck and back pain. No injuries were reported from the third vehicle.
