The Berrien Community Foundation awards For Good Grants to Berrien County nonprofits

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Berrien Community Foundation recently awarded $239,500 in For Good Grants to Berrien County nonprofits that work directly and supports physical and mental health, youth well-being and access to essential services. 

Susan Matheny, BCF program director, stated, “From behavioral health to youth stability and prevention programs, these grants will make an immediate and measurable difference in Berrien County – made possible by the generosity of our donors, whose commitment to community impact allows this work to happen.”

Some of the programs that received grant support include:

  • Boys and Girls Club of Greater Southwest Michigan - STEAM Day 
  • Bridgman Public Schools - Student Success Project 
  • Corewell Health Foundation - Behavioral Health Unit Renovation  
  • Eli Strong Foundation - Family Grants 
  • Ferry Street Resource Center - Building Bridges to Opportunity and Sustainability 
  • Girl Scouts - Heart of Michigan - Growing Tomorrow's Leaders 
  • Grounded Incorporated - Grounded Hangouts 
  • InterCare Community Health Network - Healthy Youth Program 
  • Meals On Wheels of Southwest Michigan - Medically Appropriate Meals 
  • Neighbor by Neighbor - Pathway to Home 
  • St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church - Community Food Pantry 
  • Stevensville United Methodist Church - Riverside Weekend Backpack Program
