Suspect accused of firing gun into state rep’s vehicle sentenced to 6 years

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - A man accused of firing a gun into Indiana State Representative Jacob Teshka’s vehicle in 2021 was sentenced to six years, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.

On August 1, a jury found 52-year-old Edmande Hill guilty of three counts of criminal recklessness and one count of attempted battery.

Hill was sentenced for shooting at Teshka’s vehicle as he drove with his children in the vehicle in December 2021.

Teshka was not shot but was struck by shattered glass from the bullet’s impact.
