SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- With National Hispanic Heritage Month continuing into October, Saturday marks the first annual Hispanic Heritage Fun Run and Walk, an event meant to promote unity with the local community.
The Hispanic Heritage Fun Run and Walk will take place at Howard Park Saturday morning, with the 5k run starting at 8:30 a.m. and the 5k walk starting at 9:30 a.m.
On Thursday, ABC 57 Morning Anchor Summer Horan sat down with Savino Rivera, the Hispanic Heritage Fun Run and Walk founder, to discuss how the run will work and what inspired him to start the event.
You can register for the Hispanic Heritage Fun Run and Walk online, requiring a $20 registration fee.
