Mild weather continues with rain by Christmas Eve
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- One of the most stunning weather "switcheroos" on record shook Michiana Wednesday.
South Bend saw record breaking temperatures on Tuesday as thermometer readings soared into the 70s. A cold front blasted through Michiana early Wednesday, causing temperatures to drop more than 50 degrees in less than 24 hours!
It's the biggest temperature drop ever recorded in February and tied for the second largest temperature free fall on record.
There was an even more dramatic drop in "feels like" temperatures. The wind chill went from feeling like the 70s to the single digits!
Temperatures will stabilize later this week and will be back close to 70 degrees to start next week.
