Studebaker Museum highlights South Bend Toy Company in new exhibit
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Studebaker National Museum has opened their new exhibit, Industry Spotlight: South Bend Toy Company, which will be open until Feb. 21, 2025.
Museum officials say the South Bend Toy Company was one of the region’s leading toymakers for over 100 years.
The company's products included croquet sets, doll carriages, Studebaker-branded “goat wagons.” and rocking horses.
Museum officials say the toy company played an important role in South Bend’s history.
The community is invited to view the special display in the Carmichael Bullet Nose Gallery, where it will feature images and toys from the museum’s collection.
The Studebaker Museum is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
Admission is $11 for adults, $9.50 for seniors over 60, and $7 for kids 6 to 18.
