Fireworks safety tips for you and your pets ahead of 4th of July
Our heat wave ends tonight with the passage of a cold front. However, that means thunderstorms tonight, and the chance of severe weather. It appears that the risk of severe storms is low, a level 1/5 risk. Timing is between 10p and 3a with isolated damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph possible. Most storms will only have gusts to 40-50 mph though as this line looks to weaken as it tracks into Michiana. Lows tonight will stay around 70 as the humidity holds on. Sunday will be cooler with afternoon highs only in the low 80s with clearing in the afternoon hours, after scattered morning showers. Monday looks great with highs in the low 80s, low humidity, and lots of sunshine. Tuesday into Wednesday will be warmer, back into the high 80s to low 90s with the chance of storms. These storms could be severe, so stay tuned for more updates as we get closer. Otherwise, next week as a whole will be more seasonable.
Tonight: Thunderstorms, some isolated storms could be severe. Low 70.
Sunday: AM Showers with afternoon clearing. High 81.
Monday: Mostly sunny and pleasant. High 83.
Tuesday: Hot and muggy with scattered PM storms. High 93.
