Steve's Run set to take place July 19

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Steve's Run, a racing event that raises money for those battling cancer, will take place in downtown Dowagiac Friday, July 19 at 6 p.m.

Running since 1992, this event honors Steve Briegel, the son of former Southwestern Michigan College President David Briegel, who died at 22-years-old after a five-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.

Tickets for this event are on sale now with varying registration prices:

Regular Registration: May 25- July 17

•5k Run/Walk - $30

•10K Run: $35

•Family Fun Run: $1

Late Registration: July 18 and Race Day

•5k Run/Walk: $40

•10K Run: $40

•Family Fun Run: $1

Proceeds from this event will be split between the Steven Briegel Scholarship and cancer research.
