Saturday, July 13, 2024

The forecast the next few days is very uncertain regarding precipitation chances and timing of storms with potential severe weather. However, it appears that the pattern in the coming days could set the stage for storms, beginning as early as Sunday morning. For tonight, conditions should stay dry outside of a small chance of a pop-up storm. Temperatures tonight will fall into the low 70s as muggy weather holds. Sunday will feature potentially a couple rounds of storms with muggy conditions and highs around 90. The timing for the storms right now on Sunday will be in the late morning to early afternoon hours and then again later in the afternoon into the evening. Another round could form closer to midnight Sunday night. Each round could be strong to severe, so we will have to pay close attention to radar trends. Sunday night will be another muggy one with lows near 70. Monday once again will be hot and humid with highs in the low 90s, but feeling closer to 100. Scattered storms are possible once again on Monday, and especially Monday night. Greatest chance of severe weather right now is Monday night into Tuesday. A cold front will have passed through on Tuesday, which will bring in comfortable and dry weather beginning Thursday.

Tonight: Partly cloudy with a pop-up storm possible. Low 72.

Sunday: Scattered storms, hot and humid. High 90.

Monday: Scattered storms, hot and muggy. High 91.

Tuesday: Scattered storms and muggy. High 86.
