SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The St. Joseph County Public Library announced that the Main Library will partially close from Monday, Jan. 5 through Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, to repair an elevator.

During the closure, visitors cannot access the computer lab, Local and Family History department, Teen Room, children's area, or the three floors that hold the library's physical collection.

The Community Learning Center (CLC) will remain open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The CLC will feature a small collection of materials, holds pickups, returns, and free printing and faxing.

The St. Joseph County Public Library says all other branches are expected to stay open during these repairs, save for the LaSalle Branch currently closed for renovations.
