St. Joseph County Police investigate gunshot victim on Darden Road

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - The St. Joseph County Police responded to a call about a man, at 10:00 p.m. last night, regarding a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but instead found an injured woman shot in the head.
The woman was found in her home in the 20,000 block of Darden Rd. in Clay Township, according to the St. Joseph County Police Department.
Medics immediately transported her to the Emergency Room, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
At this time no arrests have been made, with police still investigating the situation and trying to determine the origin of the fatal gunshot.
