ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Two people were arrested on Wednesday morning after police found drugs and drug paraphernalia in a pickup truck, the St. Joseph County Police Department announced.
Just after 4 a.m., an officer on patrol saw two people behind a box truck at a business on the west side of South Bend.
As the officer pulled into the business’s parking lot, the two people began quickly walking away.
The officer also saw a reciprocating saw on the ground near the box truck.
Upon investigating further, officers discovered the individuals were in possession of saw blades.
Officers obtained a search warrant on the individuals’ pickup truck.
Inside, officers found methamphetamine, scales, syringes containing heroin, marijuana, two BB gun pistols, and live ammunition, according to reports.
One suspect was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants, police said.
Both individuals were arrested and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail where they await formal charges.
