St. Joseph County Police Department reports results for domestic violence arrests

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- With National Domestic Violence Awareness Month recently ending, the St. Joseph County Police Department has reported their latest arrests involving suspects associated with domestic violence cases.

The department partnered with the Family Justice Center to highlight their annual Domestic Violence Warrant Sweep.

This sweep is designed to efficiently arrest domestic and family violence offenders that have outstanding warrants.

The department made 10 arrests while executing 26 warrants across St. Joseph County on the day of this year's annual sweep, police say.

"Since becoming Sheriff, domestic violence reduction has been one of my primary goals. Our department does not tolerate domestic violence, and I am always happy to have our officers assist with finding and apprehending these wanted individuals,” said Sheriff Bill Redman.

Police say these individuals will face charges for offenses that include violation of a protective order, domestic battery, and strangulation.
