UPDATE 9:50 p.m. -- The intersection of S.R. 23 and Douglas Road is back open.
The crash remains under investigation by St. Joseph County F.A.C.T.
ORIGINAL: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- St. Joseph County Police responded to a crash involving a vehicle and pedestrian at S.R. 23 and Douglas Road.
One victim has been transported to the hospital.
As of 7:15 p.m., S.R 23 is closed northbound at Douglas Road. Southbound traffic is restricted to one lane.
Authorities are asking drivers to avoid the area.
