SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Parts of Missouri are cleaning up after severe storms swept through the southwestern part of the state on Sunday afternoon.
Officials say a tornado damaged homes and knocked down trees and power lines.
Store owners in an area about an hour away from Springfield say the floors were covered in water, items were knocked off the shelves and insulation was ripped out of the walls and ceilings.
