South Haven hosting New Year’s Eve celebration with a midnight beach ball drop
SOUTH HAVEN, Mich.—The City of South Haven has a long list of events and activities planned for ringing in the New Year on Friday.
The city will close some of its streets, drop 1,000 beach balls from the city center and hold a fireworks display at midnight.
South Haven’s event kicks off with a free Holiday Train Display from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at City Hall.
A Red Carpet Photo Op starts at 8 p.m., the DJ and Light Show begins at 9 p.m. and a coffee and dessert truck starts serving at 9 p.m., all in downtown South Haven. See the map above for exact locations.
A skating party at the South Haven Ice Rink runs from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
The Beach Ball Drop and Fireworks Show will gather participants together in the center of town for a midnight countdown.
Multiple local restaurants will be open during the event.
Warming stations will be available through participating local businesses. Some warming stations will have activities, live music or refreshments.
