South Bend woman sentenced 14 years for firearm and attempted robbery offenses

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The United States Attorney’s Office Northern District of Indiana announced 46-year-old Danisha Lane, of South Bend, was sentenced after pleading guilty to brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence and two counts of attempted robbery affecting commerce.

Lane has been sentenced to 14 years in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

Official court documents state in May 2021, Lane robbed and attempted to rob multiple stores and businesses engaged in interstate commerce in the South Bend area.

Documents also state she used and brandished a firearm during one of the robberies.
