South Bend Schools hosting annual event highlighting school programs, new food vendor

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—The South Bend Community School Corporation is set to hold its annual “Showcase of Schools” event on October 30.

From 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the Century Center (located at 120 South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.), parents and students can learn about the corporation’s available programs.

Current parents, teachers and students will be on hand to discuss their individual school’s offerings and answer questions.

Information about support services, adult education, before and after school services, eLearning days, and career technical education programs will be available.

Representatives from Chartwells, the corporation’s new food vendor, will also be in attendance to pass out food samples and conduct demonstrations.

Spanish translators will be available for bilingual families.

The event is free and open to the public. Free parking will be available at the Century Center for the event.
