SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Thursday morning in the 2700 block of Elwood Avenue.
Officers responded to the Elwood Avenue scene after receiving a ShotSpotter notification.
When police arrived, they located two people who had been shot.
Saivon Jackson, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jaivon Berry, 25, was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Police said it appears to be an isolated incident.
