SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- In the words of the cows of America…eat more chicken! This morning is the grand opening of South Bend’s newest Chick Fil A right off of Portage Road. The exciting day is expected to attract quite a crowd.
The doors officially opened at 6:30 in the morning, and the restaurant is opened until 10 p.m. These are the hours you can expect Monday through Saturday, but of course as always, they are closed on Sunday!
They are offering drive-thru, mobile ordering, and dine-in. But customers can still take advantage of contactless ordering and payment through the Chick Fil A mobile app for online ordering.
Some members of the community took to Facebook and expressing concern over traffic after the business hosted a training session on Tuesday evening. Because of this, there will be officers here to assist with traffic for the weekend. If you are headed near Portage Road and Appaloosa Lane, be aware of some potential delays.
The new restaurant is bringing more than just the chicken sandwich. Chick Fil A will be employing approximately 100 new jobs to the community. The establishment is locally owned and operated.
This is the fourth of the franchise in Michiana.
