Owner Peg Dalton says she is thrilled to be able to spend time with the players.
"They got in town last night and then they have breakfast with us in the morning. We want to welcome the players and show them our support. We sponsor their player of the game, and we've had a great partnership with the Cubs for many years. So we like to see the players and get to know them and welcome them to South Bend," Dalton said.
The South Bend Cubs will play an exhibition game against Notre Dame on Wednesday night and will play the West Michigan Whitecaps on Opening Night, Thursday, April 4.
