      NOW: South Bend Cubs look ahead with new manager and lineup

      SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- As the South Bend Cubs begin the new season this year, the team has with 15 new players and a brand-new skipper to manage the team.

      The new manager is Nick Lovullo, who was a bench coach previously and before that played Minor League Baseball. He reached Triple-A, playing for the Pawtucket Red Sox, the Triple-A affiliate for the Boston Red Sox. He is also the son of current Arizona Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo, who led the D-Backs to the World Series last year, falling to the Texas Rangers.

      The lineup is looking to turn around from last year's losing record of 57-73.
