South Bend Cubs announce 2023 season theme nights

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Cubs have a number of exciting theme nights and promotions lined up for fans this season. Highlights include Dino Weekend, Marvel Super Hero Day and Star Wars Night.

In years' past, the Cubs hosted Dino Day, but fan feedback warranted an entire weekend dedicated to the historic creatures.

On June 24 and 25, Dino Weekend will celebrate the return of Ed's Dinosaurs Live and a weekend of dino-mite fun, including life-sized dinosaurs greeting fans, rideable dinos for kids, fossil displays and a 25-foot brontosaurus in the outfield.

On July 8, fans can choose the light or dark side during Star Wars Night, featuring special appearances by Star Wars Costume Clubs the 501st Garrison and the Takkure Clan of Mandalorian Mercs.

Summer fun continues July 22 and 23 with Marvel Super Hero Day, featuring hero favorites like Spiderman and Ant-Man.

Last October, the Cubs debuted their new Marvel-inspired logo and during Marvel weekend, fans can check out the new jerseys and merchandise that celebrate the collaboration.

In addition to theme nights, the Cubs will also host a number of new promotions in 2023.

On May 4, the Cubs are celebrating the Indy 500 with a night dedicated to the big race, featuring a special vehicle appearance, contests and race ticket giveaways.

Also on this season's lineup is the ultimate throwback Thursday event, with the South Bend Silver Hawks making their return May 25 and August 24.

During these days, the Cubs will wear throwback Silver Hawks uniforms and celebrate the team moniker that ran from 1994 to 2014.

Single-game tickets for the 2023 South Bend Cubs season are on sale March 8.
