Silver Hawks in action despite weather threat

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Even with all of this severe weather the South Bend Silver Hawks hit the diamond against the Bowling Green Hotrods.

Towards the beginning of the day there was a threat of the game being canceled but a few die hard fans showed up anyway.

"How can you cancel a ball game if it's not raining at all? Just because you think it's gonna rain. That's why they got the astro-turf," said baseball fan Don Lerman.

In the end that support was not enough to beat the Hotrods. The Silver Hawks lost the game 12 to 2.
