The combination of lingering warm air and moisture in addition to a passing cold front yesterday will provide the necessary ingredients for morning showers and slightly cooler weather today. Wet weather only sticks around briefly, though, and Michiana dries out as it climbs to the upper 40s this afternoon. Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph in the first half of the day weaken to gusts of around 10 mph this evening. After falling near freezing overnight, Wednesday opens up on a sunnier note with clear skies and highs back in the low 50s. Consistent rainfall is expected Thursday night with thunderstorms and a small but possible severe risk on Friday.
