UPDATE: Multiple arrests made in shooting at Roseland Quality Inn

UPDATE: Two men have officially been charged in connection to a March 8 shots fired call that led police to the Quality Inn in Roseland. 

Police say Demarcus Moran and Monte McGill were together in hotel's south parking lot when Moran fired shots in the direction of two people trying to leave the building.

Court documents show that the Moran did not know the two people he began shooting at. 

Moran is charged with Unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious felon and battery by means of a deadly weapon (Attempt to Commit).

McGill is charged with Unlawful possession of a firearm by serious violent felon (Aiding, inducing, or causing an offense) and Battery by means of a deadly weapon (Attempt to Commit).

ORIGINAL: ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Roseland Police Officers were dispatched to the Quality Inn on North Dixie Way for shots fired on Friday morning. Police now say they've identified the parties involved and have made several arrests.

Officials say when officers arrived, all parties involved had already left the scene.

Authorities say during the investigation, they identified the parties involved and made several arrests.

A large amount of evidence, including a firearm possibly used in the incident, has been collected by Roseland Police.

Police are still searching for the remaining involved parties and the case is ongoing.

Authorities believe this to be an isolated incident and believe there is no active threat to the community.

Police have not released the identities of any of the suspects at this time.
