South Bend Community Police Review Board met Thursday night
UPDATE: A person is in custody in connection with the shooting on South Bend's northside today. This investigation remains active and ongoing by South Bend Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit.
South Bend Police say just before 1:00 p.m. they received a ShotSpotter notification for shots fired on the 2300 block of Keller Street, less than two miles away from the LaSalle Branch Library on Ardmore Trail.
They say a female victim with an apparent non-life-threatening gunshot wound was later located at the library.
Authorities say the incident did not occur at the library and they believe there is no threat to the public at this time.
South Bend Police are investigating.
At this time the LaSalle Branch Library is closed, and they are asking people to use another St. Joseph County Public Library location if possible.
