Shooting suspect at large in Berrien County

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Officers of the St. Joseph Township Police Department received a call about a shooting around 4:15 p.m. Monday afternoon near the 1000 block of Marion Avenue. After arriving on the scene, officers found one victim with non-life threatening injuries.

A 59-year-old from Benton Harbor was found with a gunshot wound and sent to Spectrum Lakeland Hospital for treatment. That person was released later the same day.

The victim identified 25-year-old Shinnarah Lashay Bailey as an alleged suspect, who is also a suspect in an additional shooting not even 10 minutes prior.

Bailey is thought to be driving a newer Hyundai sedan with out of state registration.

She is to be considered armed and dangerous and the police advise to not approach her.

If seen, St. Joseph Township Police are urging people to contact them, the Benton Township Police Department, or Berrien County Dispatch.

The investigation of these shootings is ongoing and no other details are currently available.
