Man arrested in Dubail Street shooting in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department arrested 35-year-old Larry McLucas in connection to a shooting that happened in the area of Dubail and Grant Streets in South Bend on Wednesday.
The shooting was reported at 3:12 p.m. Police say when they arrived they discovered that 29-year-old Juan Garcia was suffering from apparent gun shot wounds.
Garcia was transported to the hospital and was later pronounced deceased.
Police booked McLucas into the St. Joseph County Jail on preliminary suspicion of Murder.
The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit has assisted in the investigation.
No formal criminal charges have been filed at this time.
