UPDATE: Suspect in custody, shelter in place declaration lifted in Fulton County

UPDATE THREE: The Fulton County Sheriff's Office has released details on what led to this incident.

Officials say officers were dispatched a home in in the area of McCarty Lane and Olson Road in Rochester at about 5:50 a.m. 

An initial investigation shows Sanderson and another man allegedly got into a physical fight; Sanderson allegedly then pulled out a gun, which was fired after another man attempted to disarm or deflect the gun.

Sanderson and this third man allegedly got into a fight before Sanderson ran away; investigators say Sanderson allegedly fired his gun as he ran toward the road.

There were no reported gunshot injuries. One of the men was injured in a physical fight.

Officials say Sanderson was taken into custody without additional incident.

UPDATE TWO: The Fulton County Sheriff's Office reports the suspect, Christian Sanderson, is in custody and the shelter in place order has been lifted.

ORIGINAL STORY: FULTON COUNTY, Ind. -- A shelter in place is in effect in Fulton County.

The county sheriff's office is requesting people in and around the area of McCarty Lane and Olson Road to shelter in place. Officers are searching for 25-year-old Christian Sanderson.

He is described in a release as a white male, 5'9", 130 pounds, brown hair, and hazel eyes.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone who sees someone matching his description is asked to not approach, and to call 911.
