Shark catches seal close to Massachusetts shore

There was a close encounter with a hungry great white shark off the coast of Massachusetts.

Just 100 yards from the shore, witnesses and surfers watched as a great white shark ate a seal.

They said you could see the blood pool expanding in the water as the shark devoured the seal.

State shark experts said it is not unusual to see a shark this late in the season and that some of the great whites will stay in the waters until at least December.
