Severe weather brings tornadoes, flash floods

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A severe weather outbreak across the nation's east brought flash flood warnings and tornado watches on Monday.

A tornado hit 40 miles north of Nashville, hitting a city just across the border in Kentucky.

While this tornado was not that wide or powerful, officials say it still left its mark.

"It damaged five to seven houses," said Terry Cole.

Cole added several barns and buildings were destroyed. No one was injured.

This year's tornado season started late.

But victims say it has definitely been a month to remember.
