ELKHART, Ind.- Seven people including four children were injured and one-horse killed after a crash involving a jeep and horse-drawn carriage.
Deputies arrived at the scene around 7:31 p.m. on Saturday night.
Elkhart County investigators/officials say a 32-year-old Goshen woman was driving a Jeep Compass when she disregarded a stop sign at the intersection of County Road 40 and County Road 37.
The Jeep collided with the horse and carriage that was traveling southbound.
A passenger in the carriage sustained a head injury and was transported by helicopter to Parkview Regional Medical Center.
All other occupants were driven by ambulances to the hospital.
