Semi jackknifes avoiding separate crash on US 20 Bypass

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, a semi-truck traveling west on the US 20 Bypass attempted to slow to avoid a crash in front of him when his truck swerved, lost control, and jackknifed west of CR 7
The front end of the truck hit the concrete median. The driver was transporter to Elkhart General Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. All lanes are now cleared and open.
