Section of Portage Avenue closed for paving starting Monday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Portage Avenue, between Yukon and Scott streets, will be closed to traffic for paving beginning Monday.

The road is expected to reopen by the end of the day on October 4.

The area will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day while crews work.

Traffic will be detoured to Lincolnway West using Diamond Avenue and Marion Street.
