Second booster dose now available to Hoosiers

The Indiana Department of Health says vaccine providers can begin administering second boosters of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines to those who have weakened immune systems or are 50 years of age or older.

Residents can receive the second booster four months after they received their first booster dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

Adults who received a primary dose and booster dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine at least four months ago are eligible for a second booster of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

To find a vaccine location, go to www.ourshot.in.gov or call Indiana 211 (866-211-9966) for assistance. Appointments are recommended, but many sites also accept walk-ins.
