SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department has welcomed a new K9 to the force, Alik, a.k.a. "Big Al."
Police say K9 Alik will hit the streets late this week alongside his handler, Officer Dakota Cremeans, SBPD's newest K9 handler.
"Big Al" is a 1-year-old German Shepherd from the Czech Republic, and police say you may not see him around town too often, since he and his partner will be working midnights.
