South Bend Police Department SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department announced that Sergent Dave Young has officially retired after more than 20 years of service.
Sergent Young began his SBPD career in 2005, working midnight patrol, followed by working in the Metro Special Operations Section, NEST/Street Crimes and the Detective Bureau.
He recently served as a Sergeant in the Detective Bureau, overseeing the Major Crimes Unit.
