SBPD searching for armed man suspected in 4 liquor store robberies

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department needs your help to catch a crook.

They are looking to identify a man who investigators think may have robbed four liquor stores.

The robberies happened between July 29 and Aug. 2 at the following locations:

  • 7/29/2012: River Park Liquor, 2407 E. Mishawaka Ave.
  • 7/31/2012: McKinley Package Liquors, 2934 E. McKinley
  • 8/01/2012: Shamrock Liquors, 3601 E. Edison Rd.
  • 8/02/2012: East Race Liquors, 502 E. Colfax Ave.

Police describe the suspect as a black man around 5-foot-6, 160-pounds. At the time of the robberies, he was always dressed in all black, with black gloves and a black hat. The man was armed with a silver pistol.
