New Connect transit plans go into effect June 2

SOUTH BEND,Ind. -- The new Connect transit routes and schedules go into effect Monday June 2.  The connect transit plan has been a multi- year outreach and design process to create a new look and schedule for bus service in South Bend, Mishawaka and Elkhart. 

One of the biggest changes is the ride from downtown South Bend to downtown Elkhart and vice versa on the new look route 30. The connection between route 5 and Niles DART route 2 will timed for faster regional travel. Transpo is also adding a new route 2, extended route 7 and many other changes to streamline travel throughout the area. 

The trolly will be implementing an updated route 35 to improve service to the east, changes route 32 to come later in the year.
