Save the Dunes

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- Save the Dunes is set to host their annual Dune Dash on Saturday, May 31, on the trails of the Indiana Dunes National Park at West Beach.

This 5k Run/Walk, with a Kids Fun Run, is to raise funds to support Save the Dunes in their mission to protect and enhance the natural space of Indiana Dunes through conservation, advocacy, and community engagement.

"We are thrilled to be hosting our 2nd Dunes Dash 5K and Kids Fun Run this year in partnership with the Indiana Dunes National Park. Our location, West Beach, is the ideal place to provide the unique backdrop where people can run along the beaches and dunes for our cause to save them," stated Executive Director Betsy Maher.

Race registration is open, with parking passes required to enter the parking lot.

Parking passes will be available for purchase at the gate or will be available to purchase in advance on the registration page.

Save the Dunes will also be hosting an Open House on June 21 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. to celebrate the 73rd anniversary of their organization.

Guided tours of the house and property will be offered during the Open House, along with light refreshments.
