Running backs shine on day three of Notre Dame training camp
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Day three of Notre Dame football training camp put the spotlight on the running backs. The standout of the day was Sophomore Jeremiyah Love. He’s fully healthy, no knee brace in sight, and looked explosive during practice. Love says his focus this season is improving his pass protection and catching out of the backfield. He’s not worried about outside opinions, for him, it’s about proving it to himself. Love also praised teammate Jadarian Price, saying his footwork and ability to make sharp cuts have been “top tier.” He didn’t stop there, he highlighted Gi’Bran Payne’s speed and athleticism as well. Off the field, Love is locked in on his routine — stretching, recovery, film study — all to keep his body right for the season ahead. We also heard from Jadarian Price, who repeated the theme of growth. He’s not focused on the big picture yet, just taking things one day at a time and getting better every step of the way. New running backs coach Ja’Juan Seider spoke for the first time too. He emphasized the value of growth and authenticity, saying this group is full of selfless players and he’s excited to see them come into their own. Training camp picks back up next week, and ABC57 will have full coverage as the countdown to kickoff continues.
