Rollover crash causes temporary closure of westbound lanes on bypass Tuesday morning

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department reports units were dispatched to a rollover crash in the westbound lanes of the U.S. 31/20 bypass just west of Michigan Street after 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Police said as of 4:45 a.m., traffic was backed up near the crash site due to the westbound lanes being blocked by first responders.

Authorities say there were no serious injuries from the crash.

At 5:21 a.m., police said units were working to reopen the bypass, and that traffic would be clearing up shortly.
